The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender (LGBT) Services Office
A component of UCB Student Activities and Services, this office provides "information, support, events, and programs..." Much of the site appears to be under construction.

Queer Berkeley
The official queer guide to UC Berkeley - news, upcoming events, gay and lesbian organizations on campus, chat rooms and message boards.

Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgendered Studies
Offered as an interdisciplinary minor at UCB, "LGBT Studies works to establish sexuality as a crucial category of analysis in the humanities and social sciences."

San Francisco Public Library
The Gay and Lesbian Center is a research center devoted to the documentation of lesbian and gay history and culture by collecting, preserving and providing access to material on all aspects of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered experience.

Queer Studies
City College of San Francisco hosts the "only department of gay, lesbian and bisexual studies in America."

Gender Studies Webpage
Hosted by UCSB, this site provides links to many online resources: gay/lesbian/queer studies, feminist studies, mens' studies. Both scholarly research and general interest sites.

Lesbian, Gay, and Bisexual Catholic Handbook
The author of this site states that his "goal is to work towards bringing the gay community to Christ, and Christ to the gay community. Also of interest, the Calendar of LGBT Saints

Modern Gay and Lesbian History

Uncle Donald's Castro Street
Nicely organized and informative site on the Castro St. area - historical background, 70's parades, Harvey Milk, the "Mayor of Castro St." and SF's first openly gay supervisor, assasinated in 1978.

Stonewall and Beyond
Online source of a Columbia University library exhibition, concerning the Stonewall riots (starting point of the Gay Pride movement). Much other interesting material on gay history.

Planet Out: History
Interesting articles on queer history (mostly modern) and links to other online resources.

Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Trangender Historical Society of Northern California
Located in San Francisco, this organization maintains a library and collection of historically significant material in order to educate the public "about the history of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender communities in all their diversity through public programs, exhibits, and publications."

An organization whose mission is to "help change negative attitudes and to create an environment of understanding so that all gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered people can live with dignity and respect."
