The ELP Neighborhood

First Church of Christ Scientist
Right across Dwight Way from the ELP campus, this building was designed by famous local architect Bernard Maybeck.

The Julia Morgan Center for the Arts
Another famous local building, designed by Maybeck's protege, architect Julia Morgan. Here, you can attend a performance, take a yoga or dance class, or volunteer.

People's Park
Another ELP neighbor. People's Park was the scene of violent clashes between police and protestors during the anti-Vietnam war demonstrations of 1969. Learn more about Berkeley in the 60's, and visit the Free Speech Movement Digital Archive.
